FIXDEFOAM DF-R - Defoamer for cement and drilling fluids
liquid defoamer designed to combat foaming in various process fluids; the goal is to extinguish foam by reducing the tension at the surface of the liquid.
Properties and characteristics
- DF-R is a defoaming agent designed to suppress existing foam and prevent its formation in cement slurries based on all classes of cements.
- Does not react with other additives that modify the properties of cement mortar.
- Equally effective over a wide range of temperatures and pH.
- Appearance – colorless or light yellow non-toxic liquid.
- Recommended consumption: 0.1–0.5% by weight of dry cement
- It has the function of containing foam, extinguishing foam, and combating gas migration.
- It is resistant to high temperatures.
- Good compatibility with other additives.
- Suitable as an antifoaming additive to mixing fluid for the preparation of drilling and cement slurries
- Does not have a negative effect on rheological and filtration properties.
Packaging, storage
- Supplied in plastic canisters of 25 kg, in plastic barrels of 200 kg
- The shelf life is 2 years.
